Insights:Pettigrew Capital Campaign: Larger than Life

Friday marked a milestone for Sioux Falls — one of our city’s forefathers came home again. 

Even a century ago R.F. Pettigrew was larger than life. He was a surveyor, an entrepreneur, a senator and a renegade. He was a strong leader and, more importantly, R.F. Pettigrew had a vision for making Sioux Falls great. 

Three years ago sculptor Darwin Wolf asked Insight to help raise funds for the monumental project. The project was an opportunity to support the arts in our community — one of the missions of our agency.

We’ve directed events, created videos, designed capital campaign materials, coordinated social media and, most recently, managed the public relations for the R.F. Pettigrew dedication.

And now his statue stands at the entrance to Falls Park.
