Insights:Pinterest is now for businesses

Pinterest just got more interesting for businesses.

Last week Pinterest, the social media site that allows people to share photos through themed boards, announced that it will now allow users to pin products with pricing, availability and buying information. That’s big news for retailers, from clothing boutiques to furniture stores, that want to reach customers through this visually rich medium.

In addition to the product pins, Pinterest users can now pin recipe information including ingredients and cooking time. What a great idea for wellness and health-related organizations as well as restaurants and kitchen stores.
