Insights:Marketing Insights: Marketers will like Facebook Reactions.

February 26, 2016

It’s official. Facebook has released their new Reactions buttons. Gone are the days when a user’s options were limited to a like, a comment or a share. Now there are five new reactions for people to choose from to show their feelings about a particular post.

These new Facebook reactions include love, haha, wow, sad and angry.

These simple emojis now make it easier than ever for businesses to get a better understanding of how their followers truly feel about the subject they’re reacting to, which, at the end of the day is what Social Media is all about. A give and take that should benefit all involved.

Considering that research shows that consumer’s emotions are the number one reason for brand loyalty, paying attention and reacting to these new emojis can make a major difference in your bottom line.

Understanding your customers’ emotional response to your announcements will act as a much better indicator if your offerings or position is in line with their expectations. This information can be used to improve, refine or support your approach or products.

In combination with comments, these emojis can also clearly show what your customers love about your product, hate about your product or what makes them mad about your product, which makes responding infinitely more effective.

Like all Social Media, communication is key and these new Facebook Reaction buttons has made that a lot easier.
