Generating the Big Ideas Creative Director

A Creative Director is a highly creative thinker and works to concept and produce complete campaigns that drive audiences to desired outcomes. You will need to know how to define an insight, create a concept and develop a multichannel brand message. You will need to have the desire to collaborate with the team, communicate the details and present the work to the client.

Responsibilities:

A Creative Director must be able to conceptualize the “big idea” and direct the execution of the details. They must be able to effectively communicate strategy, design choices, and research that has been considered when developing work for our clients. Creative Directors are often involved in client meetings and essential in crafting the creative “pitch” for prospective clients.

Writing and / or graphic design are usually skills possessed by Creative Directors, and they work closely with the rest of the creative team to produce the end results.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 15+ years of advertising agency experience or work in a similar position
  • Comfortable meeting new people and being in unfamiliar situations
  • Strong skills in presenting creative concepts
  • Able to receive and give feedback in a respectful manner and incorporate into projects
  • Involvement with new business development and proposal writing
  • Must be organized and able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines
