Insight took this opportunity to let potential students know they didn’t have to accept boring with the new positioning line “Make Your Story Epic.” This line is reflected in the passion and excitement that can be found throughout campus and in all of Lake Area Tech’s marketing material.
Television, Broadcast Production & Script Writing
This series of television commercials capture the amazing career opportunities that exist for people with the right training. Shot using actual students these 30-second TV spots feel like a movie trailer while also sharing important information and successfully recruiting new students to the college.

The high-energy Lake Area Technical College digital ad campaign featured real students involved in real world activities on campus. When clicked, the ads brought prospective students to a webpage that revealed the wide variety of epic majors available.
Logo Design, Branding & Identity Materials
A new name was the beginning of a fresh brand look for Lake Area Technical College. A new logo was created to reflect the college’s forward-looking approach to education. Letterhead, envelopes and business cards were designed with new graphics to create brand consistency at all touch points.
“Be Unstoppable” Superheros
Insight’s executive creative director Doug Moss created original illustrations positioned Lake Area Tech programs as iconic superheroes. These illustrations were used on a 3D direct mail project and were also made into “larger than life” stand-ups that are used at events and throughout campus.
“Hear Us Roar” Magazine Ad
When USA Today contacted the school regarding a “Women in Skilled Professions” special issue, Lake Area Tech asked Insight to create an ad for the special issue. The “Hear Us Roar” ad, targeted at businesses and HR professionals, told the story.

Circular social media cards bring a unique flavor to the 2017 campaign. They are printed on a semi-transparent plastic substrate.
“Bright Future” Campaign
Lake Area Tech’s “Bright Future” campaign began with an on-campus photo shoot, capturing images of students, programs, instructors and iconic locations on campus. The photos were the centerpiece of the 2018 view book, direct mail and collateral pieces. The view book utilized students wearing sunglasses to highlight the “bright future” concept. The cover page of the view book featured actual, tinted lenses to reinforce the campaign concept.
Workforce Diversity Magazine Ad
Lake Area Tech’s Workforce Diversity ad ran in a 2018 issue of Delta Airlines’ Sky Magazine, which focused on America’s changing workforce. Insight created an ad using original photography and actual Lake Area Tech students with the message that Lake Area Tech is training tomorrow’s workforce today.
