Insights:Your Facebook Primetime Guide for Six Industries

July 15, 2022

Timing can be just as important as content when trying to maximize your Facebook engagement. A recent engagement tracking study has been conducted that reportedly identifies key times for better results from social media marketing, for different industries.

While these suggested times offer a useful guide, tracking your own social media marketing results will ultimately be a better indicator for reaching your specific target market.

Another important consideration to keep in mind is that social media is always in a state of flux, so what worked yesterday and today may not necessarily work in the future. But enough disclaimers, let’s get to the findings.

Please note that the times listed are based on Central Standard Time.

Optimal times for posting on Facebook for health care:
10 a.m. Mondays, 10 a.m. Tuesdays, 11 a.m. Fridays

Optimal times for posting on Facebook for finance:
11 a.m. Tuesdays, 11 a.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. & 12 p.m. Thursdays

Optimal times for posting on Facebook for education:
8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Mondays, 12 p.m. Tuesdays, 9 a.m. Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Fridays

Optimal time for posting on Facebook for consumer goods:
10 a.m. Fridays

Optimal time for posting on Facebook for nonprofits:
12 p.m. Fridays

Optimal times for posting on Facebook for tech products:
3 p.m. & 5 p.m. Tuesdays, 11 a.m. Wednesdays, 9 a.m., 11 a.m. & 12 p.m. Fridays

Saturdays and/or Sundays are typically the worst days for posting for almost every market segment. To win at social media marketing requires powerful content combined with a strategic plan that is flexible enough to adapt to changing trends and events. Which means it’s always a good time to talk to Insight’s social media team to stay ahead of the curve.
