Insights:Insight creates holiday beer

What better way to spread holiday cheer than to brew a one-of-a-kind beer? To make Insight Marketing Design’s classic holiday party even more special, we recruited Gandy Dancer Brew Works, an Insight client, to create a seasonal winter warmer that even Santa would be proud of.

Our proprietary “Santa’s Reinbeer” Ale was brewed using holiday ingredients, including nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon and orange peel. While these classic ingredients have been used for generations to make delicious holiday cookies, we think using them to make beer is an even better way to celebrate the holidays.

At a recent staff tasting of Santa Reinbeer, our fearless leader and resident beer aficionado, Doug Moss, described the flavor as:
“Sweet and toasty malts lay down a foundation for mildly spicy cinnamon and nutmeg to dance over. Bright, sharp citrus notes surface mid-sip, merging with the spicy flavors to bring out the true flavor of Christmas. Finally, light nutmeg and cinnamon remain, giving the impression of a baked holiday treat.”

The rest of us mostly limited our comments to – “yum” and calls for another round.
